Default Why is loyalty punished

OK i have been a guild wars player for almost four years.

I enjoy the game ver much and always will.

But what is really beginning to annoy me lately is the incredibly dire drop rate.

Im working on vanquisher with my toons

and the more and more i play them the less and less i get and the poorer the drops i do get.

Why is playing guild wars punished in this way

I can understand loot scaling is a necessarey thing to a point but surely there should be a way of making sure that people who play their favourite toon a lot or are working towards titles that require a lot of play, dont get battered in the drops department just for playing more.

Doesn't make sense to me that loyalty and playing is punished.

People say team with other players, but i thought the point of guildwars was that you can play alone if you wish, i thought that was the point of heros and hench?

And its not very easy to find a party for anything anymore. Maybe there is something anet could do to deal with this problem. I really feel its unfair that playing more gets you lets drops.

Bad luck has nothing to do with loyalty.

Bad luck has nothing to do with loot scaling, its fact thatn drop rates decrease the more you play an area. Get ya facts :P

Im not talking superb drops im not talking even greens, im talking standrad drops, they get less and less the more you do an area.

What title are you doing that means redoing an area again and again apart from the grind titles? which, tbh i believe in anets opinion were designed to be done in a variety of areas. The fact your doing it in one does make you the 'loyal' customer, just the lazy kind that repeats it (assuming your doing those titles the quick and easy way. Otherwise I have to say I think you just getting unlucky.)

Drop rates decreasing the more you play an area is not "loot scaling". Loot scaling is actually a whole different story:
Quote:
The amount of drops you get are scaled to your party size and to the speed at which enemies are killed.
Please note that "speed at which enemies are killed" has not been officially confirmed to affect drop rates, so that piece of information is actually speculation based on user experimental observations alone.

It's also not been confirmed wether any other anti-farming code is actually in place. Most likely, but even if there is, I don't see a problem with it. Farm some other area.

Your problem is not "loyalty being punished", it's not "being punished for playing more". You're - if anything - being held back from farming the very same area repeatedly, which is not what I'd call "loyalty" anyway...

Doesn't seem like you're making a suggestion here.

Hard to make a suggestion when the problem being pointed out is non-existent.

OP is asking for better drop-rates, implying that his/her bad luck is due to the substantive time spent playing a toon...

You've got the wrong understanding of how the drop system works. The best thing ANet could do for you is tell you that you're just the victim of bad luck.

No suggestion + QQ thread =
